So it's been about 5 months since I last blogged... whoops. I became super busy with school this semester and now student teaching. Time just seems to fly by! Any way, this is a pretty easy recipe I thought I'd share.
Ribs with Rum BBQ Sauce |
Ingredients:
4lbs Spareribs (I usually go for Pork back ribs)
1/4 cup Ketchup
1/4 cup Ketchup
1 tsp dry mustard
1/4 cup dark rum
2 cloves crushed garlic
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup chili sauce
1/4 Worcestershire sauce
Dash of pepper
1. Wrap ribs in double thickness of tinfoil and bake at 350 degrees for 1 and a half hours. This will make them super tender
2. Unwrap and drain drippings. Combine all ingredients and pour over ribs. Marinate at room temperature for 1 hour.
3. Back again at 350 for 30 minutes, basting with sauce. You can also grill the ribs (which I usually opt for)
And there you have it. Probably one of my favorite meals, serve with some potatoes or rice and steamed veggies. Jordon is always wanting these for our meat night. I've used this sauce for steak too which is also awesome.
Wishing you a delicious meal,
-Vanessa xo
